Asylum Harbour returns to Bewleys
Josh Johnston - Asylum Harbour Sorry for the late notice on this one. After the huge success of the February gig in Bewleys, Josh and his band are returning for two nights on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May. The recording is continuing apace and the band decided it would be a good idea to play some of these tunes live to see how they went down. The band remains the same -

Josh Johnston & Friends - Bewleys, Grafton Street, Dublin 2 - Friday February 22nd 2008 - Josh's first solo gig in 7 years !! Just before recording commences on his 2nd solo CD, Josh has decided to put together an ensemble of friends to perform new and old songs in the historic intimate surrounds of Bewleys on Grafton Street in Dublin City. Joining Josh on the night are Mark Conway (acoustic guitar), Eoin O'Brien (electric guitar), Alex Bajgartova (bass) and Beta Bajgartova (vocals). Josh's own music is a mix of jazz and folk and is improvisational so you never quite know what you're going to get. Tickets are Û10 on the door but you can reserve tickets by phoning the Ticketline on (086) 878 4001. Josh hopes to confirm more gigs through the year as the recording commences - watch this space.
Roesy & Friends - Unitarian Church, Stephens Green, Dublin Many different elements of Josh's career converge in this very special acoustic concert featuring Roesy (& Josh) at the Unitarian Church (where Josh is the organist). The concert is free but there will be a bucket at the end for donations to the church restoration appeal.

In anticipation of their forthcoming "Notes Home" CD (to be released in the new year), David & Josh (with special guests Stephen McFarlane on guitar and Andrew Czibi on double bass) are convening for two evenings this autumn to play a collection of original compositions - we like to think they're the standards of the future !!
