CD and Tour with David MacKenzie

David MacKenzie and Josh are delighted to announce the imminent release of A Minor Happiness, their debut CD, which will be released on 2nd October 2004 through Josh's label, Shandon Records. They will also be hitting the road in October and November to promote the album. The tour dates will be posted onto our new 'gigs' page very shortly and the CD will be available to buy from the release date from www.davidandjosh.com

Summer Tour Dates

Things have not been quiet in these quarters recently despite the absence of news on this page.

Josh is about to hit the road in Ireland with his good friend, Roesy to support Roesy's new CD "Only Love Is Real", Roesy's third album which is being released to the shops on Friday June 11th. Roesy (Alan Roe to his parents) is from Birr, Co. Offaly and writes his own songs, a refreshing mix of folk, jazz and country music. They have been playing together with various combinations of other musicians since September 2001 but on this tour, the show is just Josh and Roesy on piano, guitar and vocals. It promises to be a very enjoyable show.

Josh is also currently recording a jazz CD with another friend and collaborator violinist David MacKenzie. They are preparing this to be ready for an autumn 2004 tour of Ireland to follow up their successful debut tour last year. Josh is also now rehearsing for some concerts with Castlebar singer/songwriter Breda Mayock. They will be unveiling Breda's newest songs and their sound at the two gigs in Roundstone and Galway (listed above). These promise to be interesting gigs as Breda and Roesy, both fine visual artists, will be performing their songs in their own "room" surrounded by their paintings. There aren't any other gigs booked as yet but any details will be posted on the site.
